Full of detail and a joy to embroider
Inspired by the delicate tests sea urchins leave behind, this pattern turns their natural structure into a beautifully textured embroidery design. Their striking fivefold symmetry is super satisfying to stitch. And the tiny holes and raised details created by spines and tube feet lend themselves to an exciting mix of stitches and surface texture.
While the finished embroidery looks richly detailed, it’s surprisingly easy to stitch. Even if you’re a beginner. And if you fall in love with these ocean-inspired forms, there are two more sea urchin patterns in the range. So you can stitch all three and enjoy the full collection.
Sea Urchins I, II and III are available bundled as Sea Urchins for a reduced rate.
