Beautifully detailed, botanical fruit embroideries
Vibrant and colourful, this collection is made up of 8 fruit pairs. Think orange and lemon, apple and pear, pomegranate and passion fruit… each complete with leaf details and designed to work beautifully together or as 16 standalone fruits.
Each design is filled with a rich variety of embroidery stitches, from classic favourites to lesser-known, as well as some unusual ways of using them, that keep the stitching process engaging from start to finish. There’s a gentle nod to Jacobean embroidery, reimagined in a fresh, contemporary way, with organic shapes and flowing forms inside each fruit. Decorative filling stitches – trellises, lattices, seeding and patterning – create texture and plenty of visual interest as you stitch. And subtle changes in colour add depth and detail.
Stitch the fruit in groups, pairs or individually, depending on what you’re making. They’re perfect for kitchen décor, aprons, tea towels, wall art, napkins… and make lovely gifts that don’t take an age to embroider.
