An elegant design for winter and the holidays

A natural wreath of evergreen foliage, this pattern is also a lovely big collection of elegant sprigs and leaves that you can use individually or in clusters on tea towels, napkins and table runners, stockings and gift sacks, paper for handcrafted cards and gift tags, or any other seasonal décor you’d like to elevate with a touch of embroidery.

The limited colour palette gives it a clean, contemporary look. But you can always change up the colours, adding red to make it more traditional, or stitching it in silver and gold shades... whatever your colours are for the holidays. There are lots of interesting stitches, as well as innovate ways to use them in this pattern. So it’s not only a beautiful embroidery, it’s also really enjoyable to do.

This design measures 9½  x 9½ inches (24x24cm)

The pattern includes:

  • A list of the fabric, DMC thread colours and needle types and sizes you’ll need to complete the embroidery.
  • Instructions for three different ways to transfer the design to fabric.
  • A crisp, clean and precise line drawing of the design at the right size with a join line, and at half size for enlarging on to bigger paper. It’s also given in reverse if you want to create an iron-on transfer. The artwork is set up to fit on A4 or US letter-sized paper for easy printing on a home printer.
  • Clear and easy to follow embroidery instructions that tell you which stitch, thread colour and how many strands of thread to use.
  • Helpful tips to make it even easier for you to replicate the design.
  • High-quality, full-colour photos to refer to while stitching and zoom in on to see the stitching up close.
  • Support before and after you’ve bought. Get in touch any time, just remember I’m in South Africa so our time zones may differ.

You’ll find detailed and easy to follow instructions on how to do all the embroidery stitches used in this pattern in 120 Embroidery Stitches, which you can find in the books section.
