Anatomical Insects
Eight lifelike insects full of stitches and detail
Thoraxes, claws, wings and antennae come to life as embroideries in these insect patterns. Different stitches – familiar, interesting and unusual – create all the little details on these fascinating creatures. So they’re good to look at andembroider. These realistic designs have been stitched on clothing, accessories and scatter cushions, given as gifts and used to make insect quilt blocks. Anything you can imagine, really.
“These were the embroidery designs I searched through hundreds of others to find – not too sweet (didn't want hearts and roses); not too big (these projects can be done in a few days); not too difficult (but they have lots of stitches to learn); artistic design (because I wanted something that when finished I would actually want to frame and hang on my wall) … These designs are perfect for the novice (like me) or the expert, and I highly recommend them to anyone interested in embroidery.” – Patricia, Holtwood, PA, US
