Divided into eight stitch families – straight, back, chain, blanket, fly and feather, knotted, crossed and couched, filling and woven – you can see how they relate to and build on each other. The contents page and an index make it easy to find any stitch and alternative names are listed for each. A colour photo for each family shows how the stitches look embroidered on fabric.

Easy to follow

Each stitch is clearly and simply explained. The instructions are step by step, both written and illustrated, and are easy to understand. More complex concepts are broken down and easy to grasp. You’ll be stitching like a pro in no time.

Digital or printed

The book comes in PDF format, which most devices will open automatically. You can save and read it on your computer, tablet or phone, which is handy for embroidering on the go as well as zooming in on the illustrations and photos. If you prefer a physical copy, it’ll print easily on to A4 or US-letter sized paper at home or at a copy shop. Whatever works best for you.
